For the most part, they did a good job of eliminating the inefficiency of the early Manx compiler VD0: was compiled in. They also managed to squash a couple of bugs which were results of the device's VERY early development date. (IE: if I were to write a device from scratch today, it'd be a hell of a lot better than the one I wrote in September 1986). Anyway, my original VD0: did work on a lot more machines than the ``new version.'' There is no real material advantage of the ``new version'' over my version. So my advice is: if the old version works and the ``new version'' doesn't, - stick with the old version. Also, now that this is common knowledge, I hope people will stop asking for support on the ``new version.'' Also, please stop giving me all the credit/blame for the new version as it is only based upon my work. Thanks -- Perry Kivolowitz, ASDG Inc. ``We look for things. Things that make us go.''
