It currently has only the "hardware acceptance" software running on it - all I have done is take it out of the box, plug it in, and turn it on. When it has been on for a few hours, the local Winchester gets incredibly busy, averaging about 50 io ops per second for hours on end (and paging everything out of memory so that it gets VERY sluggish). Is this a problem that will go away when I finally get time to install the OS? Or is it somethifn weird?
