I'm Mine did the same thing, a good cleaning job fixed it right up. You have to clean the rails for both the print head and the strike plate since they both slide back and forth. Use a silicone type lubricant to re-oil the rails. Regular machine oil tends to collect dust too quick. I used a lint free swab (no Q-tips, the cotton fibers get stuck on the rails) and cleaned the rails with WD-40 first (since the old oil was gummed-up) then I cleaned off the WD-40 with Isopropal Alcohol. After they dried I put on the silicon lubricant stuff. Works great now, if only it was faster! > printer is dying for good?
