Everything runs fine, except it can't find his com port. It seems that the rainbows com port is not the same as the IBM default. Is there anyone that knows what the address is, or a method to determine where it is? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Carl; I'll get that one instead of or in addition to comp.sys.dec. Unlike the Fido echoes, bringing the newsgroups here will cost me real money. Don't yet know just how much, but it can be expected to put a limit on the number I can bring in. Last night I got a file containing the complete list of those available. I haven't looked at it yet, but the file size is over 800KB and I understand it lists about 1200 newsgroups. It should be interesting --- * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Maryland - 301-622-2247 (Opus 1:109/123 ------------------------------ Date: 01-08-90 To: BRUCE WRIGHT Subject: PROBLEM WITH HARD DRIVE From: GEOFF REED GT>From: rti!bcw@mcnc.org (Bruce Wright) GT>Organization: Research Triangle Institute, RTP, NC GT> GT>In article <35667@cornell.UUCP>, martin@gvax.cs.cornell.edu (Bill Martin) wri GT>> The hard drive made a long series of "head seek" sounds before GT>> the terminal displayed a could-not-load-operating-system sort of message.
