Keywords: ncr, kermit Message-ID: <75332@tut.cis.ohio-state.edu> Date: 5 Jan 90 21:12:24 GMT Followup-To: poster Distribution: usa Organization: Ohio State Univ Computer & Info Science Lines: 48 My first posting.......be kind :-) We have a problem with Kermit (2.32/A) and certain PCs. On some PCs the Numeric Keypad "5" key does nothing. We do try to redefine that key; the keys works on some PCs and not on others. The redefinition seems to be fine. Fails on: NCR PC8 (NCR ROM BIOS 4-2), NCR PC6, NCR PC8/10 Works on: IBM AT (original), DTK clone (Phoenix BIOS?) We run DOS 3.2 on all machines. We use the following set key for the numeric "5" key in our ini file: set key \332 \27G Show key does the following: Kermit-MS>show key Push key to be shown (? shows all): ....Pressing the numeric keypad "5" produces nothing.... Listing all keys with a "?" shows: Scan code \332 decimal is defined as String: ^[G Could it be a BIOS problem on the NCR? Since it works on some machines should I assume it isn't Kermit? (Please say yes...someone!) Please Email responses. Thanks in advance...... Jeff PS: Sorry for cross posting this to comp.sys.ncr...just hedging my bets. (We have an NCR 32/600: justification enough? ;-) **************************************************************************** Jeffrey R.
