I notice this same effect every time a block is transfered during a download or upload, and every time I call up any other Procomm window (help screen, for instance). I tried the same program at work, and my work PC/AT does not do the same thing; it comes up fine just like you would expect. Running Procomm from a hard disk or a floppy made no difference. Problems at home; no problems at work. I have the same amount of buffers and files on both machines. I have an older EGA graphics card at work with little RAM. My graphics card at home is an Everex EGA, one year old, very nice board. I would have expected better performance on my home system than at work. Any thoughts? I can live with the problem, but I am just curious about why it happens on one machine and not the other. -- ---------------------------------------------------------- David Barnes UUCP: {pyramid,sri-unix,ingr}!apd!dbarnes 415/852-2365 USPS: Intergraph APD, 2400 Geng Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303 ----------------------------------------------------------
