In the latest issue of PORTABLE COMPUTING (February 1990), which for some
   reason I received a free copy of, there is an ad for a company named
   WELTEC.  WELTEC is marketing a "portable hard disk" which attaches to
   a serial port.  It is 20MB in size, and has its own battery.
   No price given.  But you can call them at 800-333-5155.
