It was purchased during the memory crunch back in 88. Supposed to run Windows/386. It was ordered with 2Mb or Ram, arrived with 1Mb. Windows/386 supplied with the machine would not run with the stock DOS (Zenith MS-DOS 3.3) Zenith suggested upgrading to their MS-DOS 3.3plus (with an incompatible FAT) Eventually we made it run under IBM PC-DOS 3.2. But the video board was garbage, 31 Khz but NOT VGA Compatible! That finally got thrown out for a Video 7 1024i. To this day, Windows/386 is not stable and Windows/286 does not task switch properly.. By the way, we caused enough commotion at Zenith that they sent us a free megabyte of memory. Tim Takahashi ttak@uhura.cc.rochester.edu
