A stock sanyo is 100% vanilla MS-DOS. If the network program does ANY hardware calls, it will die. With the IBM video adapter, you can get a little closer to IBM compatibility, but it never gets any better than about 30% compatible. The advice that is continually given to Sanyo users is, 'try it. if it works, it works.' That sounds kind of stupid, but the machine is so incompatible, that's really the only way to do things. Back when that machine was on the market, Sanyo was keeping a list of programs that successfully ran on the 555. You might try calling them up. (sorry, I don't have the phone number anymore.)
