I'd like to replace it with a Phoenix or Award. I thought that I had heard somewhere that, like DOS, these are licensed to the machine itself and can't be purchased separately. Am I all wet on this? A local computer dealer has told me that there are no BIOS dealers or resellers, or at least that they don't get discounts, and that it's cheaper to go directly to the Phoenix or Award companies. Is this true? Does anyone know a good source, like mail order? Does anyone have the number for Phoenix or Award?
