Why are you against getting demos? I welcome any and all s/w that people are willing to give out. I can always trash it later if its junk, costs too much, or I don't need it. I can always choose not to download it in the first place if it looks uninteresting. If you have a hard time dealing with demos clogging comp.binaries.mac, then maybe its time for comp.binaries.mac.demos group to be created.
