My Mac Plus screen has just developed a few idiosyncracies... First, the top of the menu bar is physically bent, rather like: ______________________ _____________________-------- | | | ...etc. Apologies to those using kerning fonts. And, the letters will actually appear to quiver. Back when I first got the toy, some three years ago, there were reports of this happening all over. I somehow envisioned the entire screen shimmering- that is, in a nice steady sinusoidal pattern with a large period, not single-pixel lines being displaced by half a pixel width, like I'm getting. Anyway, with an attitude of "It's not happening to me now, so it probably never will," I dismissed the advice and ignored the thread. Well, now it's happening to me... I recall something about flaky power supplies being blamed. Anyone know if that would be the culprit? Any suggest- ions on a remedy? (Purchasing a IIci does not viably constitute a remedy to me...:-)) I'd like to avoid my local Apple dealers, as they are thieves. I have no fear of soldering irons, replacing components, et cetera. Thanks in advance... Andrew -- Andrew Reynhout (Internet: reynhout@wpi.wpi.edu) (Bitnet: reynhout@wpi.bitnet) "The advertisements say the pleasure's everlasting. Must be dead and gone to heaven.
