I work on a Mac Graphics Lab on campus. I have created a Mac volume on our Unix based mainframe. Just by typing " setup_aufs ", and giving a Mac volume name. After that I can connect to the mainframe and through AppleShare and it will gives me a DEMON Iconed disk. Which is just like an extra disk to me. I can get upto 16Meg per volume. It shows all files and Icons. It is not as fast as my internal HD but just as fast as my floppy drive. I can set it to reopen automatically each time I login, but cant boot from it. Suitcase can (I think so) load fonts and DA's from a different drive. But I never tried it. AUFS stands for Apple Unis File Server. My unix system has man pages on aufs. If you need more info let me know. Haseen.
