Date: Tue, 9 Jan 90 03:31:04 EST Message-ID: <1990Jan9.033113.20104@lsuc.on.ca> Organization: Law Society of Upper Canada, Toronto My IIci behaves strangely at times. Every once in a while it slows down by an order of magnitude or so. I notice it in several applications, so it's not just the application. The machine gets slow enough that it won't even keep up with fast typing; when I stop after a string of characters, it will suddenly catch up. Rebooting always clears this problem. Does anyone know what's going on, and if there's likely to be a fix (hardware fix?) down the road? I'm using a IIci with an internal 40Mb drive, a portrait monitor (but not using the grey levels), 5Mb of memory, MultiFinder and System 6.0.4. A co-worker with the identical setup but a colour monitor also has this happen fairly often. David Sherman Toronto -- Moderator, mail.yiddish { uunet!attcan att utzoo }!lsuc!dave dave@lsuc.on.ca
