This sounds like the problems I had with  the Nothing  INIT.   I found
that even after I removed it and rebooted,  the problem stayed around.
Finally it just  went away (yeah, right...)  -  I don't  recall  doing
anything special to fix it, but it seemed to fix itself.

BTW, how does one get rid of Jclock?
