I did the Dr. Dobbs upgrade to 512k, then the 512e upgrade to get 128k ROMs and 800k drive. I then upgraded the RAM again by piggybacking another 16 256k RAMS on top of the original 16. I added a Supermac SCSI adapter to connect a hard drive. As far as I know, I now have a Mac+ equivalent except for one thing. I still have the original battery-backed parameter RAM, and from what I've heard, The Mac+ went to one with more capacity. Does anyone know whether there's any way to obtain a Mac+ equivalent parameter RAM that I could substitute in or whether there's some way to add a circuit to emulate the larger RAM? I am currently contemplating adding more RAM to my machine so I can keep up with the memory requirements of modern Mac software and system 7, but I have this nagging feeling that the parameter RAM issue is going to bite me one of these days. Thanks in advance for any help. Bryan Carpenter bfc%hpislx@hplabs.hp.com
