Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac,comp.sys.mac.programmer Subject: Editing scanned PICTS in Claris CAD? Message-ID: <317@latvax8.lat.oz> Date: 12 Jan 90 00:26:56 GMT Organization: VAX Cluster, Computer Centre, La Trobe University Lines: 23 I have an HP ScanJet Plus with Deskscan software, Claris CAD (v 1.0) and a Mac IIx. I would like to scan line drawings (actually maps) and insert them into Claris CAD and edit them there. The problem is that CAD only reads PICT files, and doesn't allow further editing of any elements of the PICT picture. Deskscan will also save pictures as TIFF and EPS, of which I assume EPS is the only one that is not a bit-map and so suitable for a drawing package. However, Claris CAD will not read EPS. Is there a solution to being able to edit the scanned maps in Claris CAD? Is there a conversion program that will make editable Claris CAD compatible drawings from the output of Deskscan?
