Message-ID: <25755@cup.portal.com> Date: 9 Jan 90 17:28:01 GMT Organization: The Portal System (TM) Lines: 18 I have a USR HST modem that is giving me fits, so hopefully someone out there can help me solve this problem. Using pcomm I can dial out and make an ARQ connection at 9600 baud (terminal speed is locked at 19200). Transfer efficiency is unknown, but appears good. However, when connecting with my news feed (who is also running an HST) I am having transfer problems. From me to him usually averages about 250cps, while from him to me averages less than 80cps. Using Uutry to monitor the status of the connection, it is not unusual for the whole transfer from him to me to time out after 10 alarm signals are sent. What I am trying to figure out is this: is the problem related to my Dialers setup or his gettydefs? Could someone who has an efficiently working HST PLEASE email or post his/her Dialers entry? An HST or Dual Standard entry would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
