Some problems from one of our researchers - I have run into this before
and can't find a solution.:

I didn't have much luck with the unix 'fort' command which could provide
a direct comparison with the m.r.c. runs.  the problem was that no matter
how I structured the library list for the linker (lk instead of ld) it couldn't
find references that were obviously contained in the libraries.  

any help appreciated.
