    Pardon my netiquette, but no one seems to be reading mail
    sent to "xpert-request@athena.mit.edu".

The mail is read (and the correct address is on expo, not athena, has been for
years now), it's simply read on the order of once every week or so.  (Requests
sent directly to xpert are almost routinely ignored.)  With the R4 release and
the X Conference and relaxing, there was a two week lag recently; but your
request was processed yesterday.
