Does the server understand the DECwindows font format, whatever it is? No, it doesn't. The reaosn I ask is that some DEC tools appear to depend on thier font files, and if they can't be read by the X11R4 server, I'm up the creek on using the cool & nifty dxpsview program. We run dxpsview against our R4 servers all the time, with no problem. The Digital cursor/session fonts are distributed in bdf form on the R4 tape; they're really all you need to make things work.
