My favorite complaint about the former is the fact that the use of rlogin isn't transparent -- you have to be careful when typing "~", particularly when using rlogin from within that window (if you type "~." instead of "~~." you kill the whole xterm). Of course, the solution to this is to specify "-e " in the rlogin line.
