Lines: 24 X Windows has been ported to the Amiga by GfxBase, Inc. The port was performed by Dale Luck, and the price is around $395 for the server and a number of clients. Both local clients and remote clients are supported, since AmigaDOS is a multi-tasking operating system. X Windows runs on its own Amiga "screen", and can run simultaneously with other Amiga programs. TCP/IP over Ethernet support is available, and the DECnet stuff may be ready. People who I know have seen it said that it was very fast. I will be getting it soon. While AmigaDOS is multitasking, it is very different from UNIX. Contact Dale Luck for more info. --John E.
