I thought everything was working fine because I had been running under X for a few weeks. Recently I started trying to work with the Xt library. My first "hello world" program gave me a segment fault. It seems that it has to do with the textWidgetClass. I nosed around and found that the xedit program was the only client I had from the X core that utilized textWidgetClass. I had never run xedit before (I prefer vi, and xemacs), and I discovered that It doesn't run and also generates the same error. The patches had already been applied. (Curiously enough, some of the patces had to do with Text.c) Is there a known problem with this on the Sparc or did I do something wrong ? jaz@calvin.icd.ab.com
