I want this capability to test a window based application which is currently under development. My platform is a Sun 386i (SunOS 4.02) running the X/NeWS window server. The application will be run with the Motif window manager. I have looked at Journalling which comes with X/NeWS, however, it does not work (well) with the Motif window manager, as should be expected. I have also heard about Xghost but I don't know if it can be used with X/NeWS (I heard that the X server had to be modified in order to run Xghost but I don't know how involved that would be). What I would like is an X implemented program to record user events to a file and at some other time read that file and send those old events to the server to distribute to the clients. If you don't know of any such program do you know if one would be difficult to write from scratch ? Please e-mail to me directly (uunet!bcstec!sleepy!darryl) and thank you in advance. -- Darryl Ljunghammar (206)865-4567 Boeing Computer Services MS - 7M-44, P.O.
