Old Bridge NJ Lines: 26 Hello Unix-PC Wizards, Question:Problem I have just been given an account on a 386 box running ESIX. The shell of choice seems to be Korn, so I would naturally like to use it. I am used to Pyramids flavor of BSD and CSH, so I am rather inexperienced at Korn. Simply put, I am trying to set up my environment, so that I can make use of the history in EMACS mode. I have set the emacs flag on { set -o emacs } and set vi off {set +o vi} yet I still can't make use of the familiar ^P or any of the other emacs commands. What gives? I have read the "man" pages o KSH, and have followed what seems like a logical course of expirmentation to try and solve this problem. Can anyone shed any light on this area for me? I am really stumped. ;=( Tanx, Z-Raisin Email Replies to rutgers!gritty!zraisin :q
