                  Back in October of 1983, I had the absolute honor in
singing at the Hartwick College Music Festival (MENC hosted). I was listening
to the tape of the Randall Thompson piece we did entitled "Testament of Freedom"
Great Piece!  Very grandiose (sp), but that is somewhat typical of Thompson's
works. I believe the lyrics were taken from a speech by Thomas Jefferson.
I think he (Thompson), really liked Altos & Basses because he really gives
them awesome parts to sing!
