Since I posted my last request for the family they have become much more relaxed and happy. They are also now getting calls about potential donors. I don't mean to ask *too* much, but this would be a very important time for some special prayers for them. A problem the family has had is in others not understanding why they don't go out much, and never go anywhere overnight, etc. Their life revolves around Chris and her machine. SHe is able to have dialysis in her own room at night. But that means that when she needs anything during the night or when "nature calls" (don't know just how to say this!) someone has to get up and minister to her needs just like an invalid in a hospital. When she is ill it is a nightmare, especially with the stomach flu that has been so prevalent this winter. To go somewhere overnight would involve taking more equipment than their car can carry and the dialysis is done manually rather than the machine and it isn't as clean and safe. In short, while they are enduring, it will be wonderful for this family when someone is thoughtful enough to donate life for Chris, and liberation for her family. They aren't complaining but it seems like it may be helpful if you could understand more of the situation and the urgency. So please say a prayer for Chrissy Epperson. She's really a great kid. Thank you so much! Love, Elizabeth
