Except as Elizabeth pointed out left out one detail. Is it possible to be married and not have it ordained as such by God? In Elizabeth's case it seems her first husband was not a beleiver and was obusive and thus it seems possible that her first marrige was not veiwed as God as a marriage but only her second marriage was really a marriage in God's eyes. I know many instances where the first marriage was not really a christian marriage and one partner (male or female) was abusive and involved in adulterous affairs. Thus in this case maybe God never ordained the first marrieg so that a second marrige in God's eyes is really the first marriage. In His Love, Eric. P.S. I had a hard time saying this and I hope it makes sense.
