There will be a conference, organised by the Society for the History of Women,
in University College, Dublin, Ireland, on 16th and 17th of February, 1990. The
 title is `Pacifists and Patriots: Women and War'. The opening session will be
addressed by Mari Holmboe-Ruge, President of the Norwegian section of the Women
's International League for Peace and Freedom. Others papers will be in the are
a of the 20th century women's peace movement, Medieval Europe, World War 11, wo
men in Northern Ireland .
   Registration will be from 6.45- 7.45 p.m. Room K.115,Arts Block,UCD on Frida
y 16th and again 8.45- 9.30 on Saturday 17th.
