Message-ID: <900202.115453.MST.SCH@BYUVM> Date: 2 Feb 90 18:54:53 GMT Sender: Link failure announcements Reply-To: Steven C Howes Organization: Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA Lines: 24 Approved: NETNEWS@PSUVM Gateway A digit check (on my part) yesterday caused a link definition in my route tables to be deleted. I found and fixed the problem very shortly after it occurred... However, some of the traffic thru node BYUVM was munged in various ways... *MANY* "Received:" headers on mail... all of 'em saying that the file was received from VM.BYU.EDU by VM.BYU.EDU. These were all delivered (in so far as I can tell (including all of the extra "Received:" headers)). Mail bounced for various reasons: Too many hops (Received headers) (Because of above problem). HOST xxx unknown... And, some of the traffic just got purged. In so far as I can tell, MOST of the traffic was delivered properly with a bunch of extra "Received:" headers. Please accept my appology for this problem... Steve Howes
