How do I do that? I really don't understand this at all. 1. Things you want to set for everyone by default should be put into MAILSYS XEDIT, not MAILUSER XEDIT. 2. What you're saying you want to do is *already* the default behavior! (assuming that the user actually *has* a names file, of course.) 3. SETMAIL NAMES USERID() should setup things so that the user's own names file is used. What do you mean "any other NAMES files"? Richard
