We have three VAXes -- VAX1, VAX2, and VAX3 -- decnetted over ethernet. VAX2 is the only VAX running Jnet, and it is a Bitnet node. My question is this ... is it possible to set up pmdf on the three systems in such a way that users on VAX1 and VAX3 can use bitnet mail transparently ... i.e., is there a way to avoid appending "vax2::" to their outgoing addresses? And, when those messages are received on another system, will the "from" address be such that the message can be replied to with a simple "reply" command? If you don't understand this question, but you think you can probably help, send me your name and phone number and I'll call you ...
