I have been using the 68450 4-channel DMAC in my design, but the kludges needed to generate 32-bit transfers are quite ugly. Does anyone have information about the Motorola 68442? It appears to be a real 32-bit DMA controller, but does it have 4 channels? Also, does anyone know of any third-party devices which might do the trick? (i.e. 32-bit, 4 channels). I am looking for a "Motorola-compatible" part, since this DMAC will live on a VME board (I know Intel has some good DMACs, but getting an Intel part to work on a VMEbus...) Thank you in advance... (P.S. I was not sure of which newsgroup to post this to: if anyone has a better idea, please send me mail...) -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jean-Francois Panisset "Oui Allo!"
