Lines: 22 I'm the original poster for variable record length. I haven't read articles on this group recently, saw many places saying "ORIGINAL POSTER"..... What I meant by "variable record length" is the field where 1)users don't have to specify Min or Max, 2)system shouldn't impose any limitation(like 65,534 bytes long) or make this limitation be transparent to user. Why I need this thing? I'm dealing with hugh molecular biology data whose alphabet is AGCT.
