Lines: 17 I just bought an internal TB+ and I'm getting terrible throughput with it on incoming data - between 200 and 300 bytes/sec. when connected is FAST mode. I know it connects in fast modem because I have had sites use uutry to test the connection. The only time I get goot throughput is when data is outgoing. So, since I've heard about switching the 8250 with a 16550AFN, I thought I'd try it. Where can I get one? How much do they run (average)? I'm running AT+T Unix SysV/386 and would like to get a driver that would turn on the buffer (someone mentioned a JJM driver?). Could someone help me out with this and let me know where I can get such a beast? One last question - is there any difference between a 16550A and a 16550AFN? Thanx in advance for all the help. -- Jesse W. Asher - Dynasys - (901)382-1705 6196-1 Macon Rd., Suite 200, Memphis, TN 38134 UUCP: uunet!dynasys!jessea
