I read that the new Sony D-555 (their top-of-the-line portable CD player)
also has a 1-bit D/A converter even though a label on the outside indicates
either 4x or 8x oversampling.  Given the conclusions of earlier posters (that
256x oversampling is called for), I hope this label is pure hogwash!
