Well, are they practical/cheaper-than-analogue/worthwhile???  I saw an
EMS prototype which had about 30 channels; given that the neXt's DSP
can handle 20 channels of EQ, it would appear to be a practical
possibility, or ain't it that simple?  It would be fun to give such an
amazing toy to the hoi polloi (id est, moi).
