Could someone that either is familiar with and/or has written an editor
tell me an answer to a real basic question:

How would/do you 'store' the file in memory?  I guess what i am asking is
what is the data structure that would be used for a _very_ basic screen
oriented editor.

I am looking for a fairly efficient one, but also a fairly easy one to
code for editing functions (adding/deleting/changing/copying lines/characters).

Hmmm, I think I explained that enough, please e-mail replies (since I don't
want to bore everyone else with such a basic question).
