It seems to work but I don't have any C libraries to really try it. You create a separate .EXE file with the external functions you want to call. This is loaded separately by your FORTH program. A defining word is used to setup the call given the number of args and the number of the routine in the .EXE module. The technique they used is quite clever and only a couple blocks long. .
