Lines: 39 Recently began investigating how best to implement a small call tracking system and thought to use MH with tickets distributed via mail with global folders as the archive. MH would seem to have a powerful enough display mechanism for handling most reporting. Creating tickets is easy, all that is needed is a component file with the necessary fields. Encountered a problem when trying to update an existing ticket(message). Wanted to accomplish this with repl. Have created a replcomps that matches my component file and sets up the body to contain: Header ------ ******** updated by: name at ########## previous body. The problem is in creating a readable form of the current data. From what I read in mh-format, $(timenow) is the seconds since the unix epoch. How do I get this to a human readable form? Have I missed some other way of generating the date in a message? Was hoping not to have to send the message through a dummy acount just to obtain the actual date. Any ideas would be appreciated.
