Maybe I'm wrong. Joseph, OS/2 is an advanced operating system. It retains control at all times. OS/2 controls the operation of ALL programs running UNDER it. While you are in the DOS box, you are free to run most DOS programs. Since DOS programs can be "missed-behaved" the DOS box is suspended while in the background. But, OS/2 and programs writen for OS/2 continue to run.
