I don't have the os/2 version of lhx, but the source for the dos version is here (and it is pretty clean code). (Sorry, I don't have the exact file name for this here at home). Also avaiable here is lh-ansic.lzh, a lharc clone that I coded in AnsiC. It will compile under os/2 without any changes. It compresses too (lhx will only extract). I 80% finished an os/2 specific LHARC program, that allowed wildcards and walking dir trees (the lh-ansic.lzh version does not have this, because this type of feature is hardware/os specific). I put it on hold because I wanted to wait for os/2 1.20 to arrive and add support for long file names and EAs. I have not had a chance (or the motivation) to go back and finish it yet though. :-(.
