While I've never fiddled much with the A500, I can say that I do prefer
the keyboard on my 2500 to the keyboard on my trusty old A1000 (sitting
across the room).  Also, I think it would be worth considering the upgrade
even if you do prefer the older keyboard.  After all, is the keyboard
more important than possibility for future operating system upgrades?
