Someone here asked for a policy announcement about future software compatibility for the 1000. I think you just got it. I personally intend to jump at this offer, either Friday night or Saturday morning. I would strongly advise ALL 1000 owners to either trade up or down. Let's not hear a lot of bitching and moaning about "The bastards orphaned our 1000's" in about a year, OK? They're leaning over backwards to help you out.
