There are several mail-order houses that carry it.. unfortunately, i don't have an ST mag around right now, but i recall calling a house about 3 weeks ago inquiring about prices... i believe i was quoted in the neighborhood of $472.00 .. this is a damn good price... I paid $475 originally (a year+ ago) and have put in another 80-100 in updates. The current version is 2.2 which includes the new "Softlink" program- a partitioning/multi-tasking piece of code: YOu can create up to 9 separate partitions for GEM or TOS each with a virtual desktop... The "multi-tasking" feature is ONLY with respect to the added ability of NOTOATOR being able to run concurrently with a word processor etc.. in other words.. one can have NOTATOR playing sequences in the background while you write a report.. In addtition, if you have another midi program you like to use.. NOTATOR can record all midi events being generated by the "other" midi program.. that's pretty slick. ANyway, i don't know how good the task switching abilities are.. nor if the "multi-tasking" features are reliable... Believe it or not, i have had NOTATOR 2.2 update with Softlink for over 10 days now and have yet to install it on my hard drive... I have been having so much fun with my new GCR, i've barely been in ST mode... -kevin ramsiri@blake.acs.washington.edu
