(I can't evaluate it's usefulness to me if I can't even get it to work !!) . I managed to assemble a .BIN library from the RTXBIND.S source by slightly altering it to fit my C compilers needs. ( Assembled using HISOFT's DEVPAC 2 for LATTICE C v3.04). The .PRG is in the AUTO folder on an otherwise blank floppy, (I Don't have a HARD DISK so there no problems there). On booting from the floppy the Copyright Notice is displayed and the system exits to DESKTOP, so it looks like the system has installed. If I compile a simple program i.e. turning the code fragment for RTX_INSTALL into a program which prints out "Installed" or "Not Installed" then it compiles, links (with the MICRO RTX library) and executes without crashing but does not print out either of the above messages. On Investigation using MON ST I discovered that the program was falling over at the TRAP #5 in RTX_INSTAll with an 'Illegal Trap' message. (Is this due to MON ST stealing/reseting the TRAP #5 vector ??). TRAP #5-#15 all point to the same address is this correct ??? Is there something going on in the STARTUP of Lattice C which causes problems with MICRO RTX ?? I'd love to find out as the system looks like the answer to my dreams. - Andrew (Goss) - P.S My system is a 520STFM with 1/2meg intenal,1meg external drives and TOS v1.3 in ROM and is as bought.
