I have a friend who is trying to communicate between a PRO350 and a Rainbow using Kermit without success. Something about the " giving him trouble. Sorry I'm vague, but I'm just a humble 'bow user with minimal knowledge of the PDP-11 or the PRO. Help, please. ++ Amer ++ --- * Origin: Glacier Peak Rainbow, Bellevue, WA - 206/644-8431 (Opus 1:343/3) ------------------------------ Date: 02-02-90 (19:49) To: GEORGE THEALL Subject: MEMORY UPGRADE From: GEORGE COOPER George, The only requirment is that you use like chips in each memory "bank". the Rainbow has three of these banks on the memory extention. you and mix them as you like ie Bank 1 all 256x1, bank 2 64x1 and bank 3 256x1. I have the memory expansion menual on my desk at work. I love the rainbow (im also too lazy and don't see the need to replace it even if I CAN get any system I want). You mentioned that you are a DECie. If so contact me @ SALEM::COOPER_G and I can read this info right out of the book as you need it. Hope to hear from you.
