PCREMOTE is a PD version of PCANYWHERE, minus graphics, that allows one to log onto a host PC from a remote PC and operate the host as the local machine. However, PCREMOTE has a notorious problem--it does not work on the TANDY 1000HX (Phoenix bios) and my clone which also has a Phoenix bios and an Intel 386/PC. It appears to address the modem and then lock up the machine. Perhaps a problem with accessing the keyboard controller? PCREMOTE does work on an IBM-PCXT. Is there any other public domain utility out there that performs the same function as PCREMOTE or PCANYWHERE. Please post or send E-mail. nghiem@emx.utexas.edu
