If you had EGA, that would be easy, as I have personally used software that will display 12 EGA lines (big letters) on an EGA. If you do have hardware slots available, you could add in an EGA board, and use such software (EGA12.COM, available from PC Magnet/PC Magazine on Compuserve and elsewhere) also.
